A leader is a person who has a strong influence on society. What should it be like? What should he do? Humanity has been puzzled by these questions for a long time. Writers also reflected on this, portraying a variety of images of leaders, leaders and opinion leaders, to which crowds listened to the people.
In the story of M. Gorky, “The Old Woman Izergil”, the leader of the tribe is depicted, who led people out of the thicket where there was no opportunity to live. Danko took the initiative to rescue his fellow tribesmen after all of them were driven out by the enemies from the regions where they had lived before. The young man, on the other hand, saw that the people were afraid to go towards the unknown, so he decided to take the situation under his personal control, showing the direction of movement. When the travelers began to get tired and indignant, reproaching the leader, he pulled out his warm heart and illuminated their path to freedom. This means that this man was courageous, strong, responsible and selfless. He was more interested in the fate of his kin than his own fate.
Another example was described by L. N. Tolstoy in the epic novel War and Peace. Mikhail Kutuzov led the Russian army and the coast of each soldier on the way to victories. The author describes how the hero stubbornly defended the need for retreat and surrender of Moscow. He deliberately took time to exhaust the army of the opponent and save his strength in the decisive battle. He loved and felt sorry for his people, he did not need victory at the cost of the whole army. For this he was loved even by those who knew only by hearsay about him. Warriors felt that they were spared, valued by them, so in battle they behaved bravely and tirelessly. The whole of Russia has risen to fight Napoleon. Even women and children went to partisans. As a result, the indestructible army of Napoleon fell, and did not conquer Russia. Kutuzov is undoubtedly a talented leader. He is characterized by courage, intelligence, determination and a willingness to uphold his principles even in the face of the emperor.
Thus, a person will be able to exert a strong influence on society if he is courageous, principled, responsible, visionary and selfless. People in such a leader feel the strength and desire to help those who listen to him.
